Life of a daughter of a working mom

Yeah, my mom started food business even before i was borned. I strongly believes that her Wan Tan Mee is the best in town. :)
"Teng.... lai." (asking me to come)
walk restlessly towards the gate
and she gave me a packet of chee cheong fann and i walked towards my classroom.
The shop that she worked is just right beside my kindergarden. That was one of the pictures that still running in my memory. It was so sweet of her. Before my mom paid the uncle to send me to school, i followed her to work. I need to wake up as early as 5am and sleep in the car until she wakes me up to go to school. Oh ya, i lost many bottles in that shop too, because i forgot to bring back home. Huhu Being a good daughter (please do not vomit, kay) we helped out at the shop every weekends. In fact i was and still the laziest in my family. I would come out with Sooooooo many excuses just to sleep longer and stay at home.

"I''ll sweep, mop the floor. I'll do the laundry. I'll clean the toilet. I'll clean the windows. I-will-do-everything-just-not-to-go-to-restaurant"
Actually there are a few reasons why I do not like to go to shop.
  • Since young, I have darker completion compared to my siblings. So, being the ugliest duckling, I was being compared and I hate people telling me that i do not look alike as if i was picked by the rubbish bin. (that was what my parents told me and i believed it)
  • Maybe due to the depression that i got (see above) I grow older faster than my older sisterS. And again, they (Customers) thought i was the eldest. OMF.
  • I want to give chance for my sisters to get all the praise ma....
  • okay, im lazy
To some extend, people thought my mom has only 3 children. So unfair leh, my brother also never shown up one, why they know my mom has a boy and not 3 girls? The thing that i hate the most about F&B industry is that we need to sacrifice weekends, holidays and chinese new years!!! WHY? Because it is the peak season ma, like hotel like that. Lesser people working on weekends and school kids no need to go to school, so it is like family day for them to eat out. Cheh. Then we need to serve them. Paling teruk was during CNY. You feel damn sad, cannot sleep longer or wear nice nice go out. :( But it is also the most challenging part. The flow of customers are endlessly and you must react FAST. My aunt who in charge of the drinks would YELL from inside if she saw us speaking to each other or not alert enough. It was like a war. The battle begins as early as 8am and ends around 1130am like that. Sometimes, you don't even have time to eat or drink. Hmmm.... When i recalled back, it brought back many memories. That was the meeting point of our family especially cousins. That was the place we played the games that some kids our age never play before. That was the place where SheaLing stepped a kitten to death when she was in hurry. That was the place where we had our fight and argument. That was the place that brought us together. Ohya, that was the place where we can meet good-looking guys and let them flirt with us.... haha... (the place refers to which ever shops that my mom had work before)
WE have many celebrations here. Birthday, Father / Mother Day /CNY / Cheng MEng....

last but not least, that was the place where we cam-whored too. :)

I absolutely agreed that that place trained me who I am today, because it is a battlefield, you fight until the last minute before you declared a WIN
